H.O.M.P

There’s this amazing show on NDTV Good Times called HOMP. HOMP means Highway On My Plate. I don’t know how many of you have seen it, but I really love the show. I, myself don’t follow it very regularly (as I hardly watch any T.V), but every time I come across it accidentally, that’s it..I just get glued to it.
What an idea!!! The show is hosted by two guys, viz; Rocky and Mayur. Both are really good at what they do and they just HOG (and am sure they are good at it)!!!! The basic theme of the show is that these two guys go around places in India, trying the different delicacies that the region offers. The only difference; they try the roadside food. They give information on the styles of cooking, specialties of that region, recipes etc. The best part is that they are honest about what they feel about the preparation. It doesn’t seem like they have been paid to promote the particular place where they are eating (guess that’s because the owners are hardly bothered about their marketing).
But I think it’s a perfect job. I’d love to get into such a job one day. Two reasons make me say that;
A) I love traveling and visiting new places
B) The more obvious part, I love eating…
I mean, which company will pay you for eating and roaming??? No deliverables, no deadlines, no long working hours, no starving (coz of lack of time), nothing at all….Aah..What a life that would be! I wish someday, someone pays me to do the same….;)
So, the next time you come across this show, wait for a few moments, I am sure you’ll like it as well.
